The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive program in the world! It can be done in 3 days.

You will learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.

To participate in this program, you must be in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water. You must be at least 14 years of age to begin the PADI Open Water Diver program.

If you are between 10 and 14 years of age, a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program is available.

You need to complete five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and make four open water (ocean or lake) dives to earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognized worldwide.

After completing the Open Water Diver program, you may continue your dive education to earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Specialty Diver certifications.

As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional.
